In their own words

  1. Rule zero: nobody walks the Deep alone. Especially not one of my little ones.

  2. Easy, little whelp. Teeth away. We are making friends.

  3. If you find a cage down there, open it. Somebody is waiting to come home.

Zoskrag Collie comes to Gloomhold looking for help recovering his lost pets. For most people, that might mean a missing cat. For a drakoshan whelp herder, it means the search deserves rather more care.

Nobody walks the Deep alone

Zoskrag meets delvers below ground with a crook, a whistle, and a dragon whelp. He gives the traveller a companion from his own line and asks them to look for caged creatures in the hidden rooms of the Deep. Whatever they free can come home to his pens in Gloomhold.

He is a practical keeper with rules, tips, and a healthy respect for what a small dragon can do. The affection is there beneath the instructions. His work is keeping his charges fed, exercised, and safe—and reminding other people that “small” does not mean “harmless”.

Horns, a crook, and a head count

Pale scales, amber eyes, swept-back horns, and a weathered rust-brown cloak make Zoskrag easy to spot. His twisted crook is a herder’s tool, and he carries it like someone accustomed to retrieving creatures with their own ideas about where they should be.

The name Zoskrag Collie and his whelp-herding background appear in Splinterlands’ Whelp Herder lore. His lost-pet search, life in Gloomhold, and work with its delvers are the Archive’s adaptation.

A small dragon is still a dragon.
