Zebajin

For the last five years, Zebajin Tala'varis, a formidable runemancer and veteran Riftwatcher, has worked closely with Bera Dallin and her companions, conducting unconventional warfare against the Chaos Empire—namely covert operations, subversion, and the training of local citizenries in guerrilla warfare.

It was Zebajin who trained the young girl with the pirate hat in the ways of runemancy. But she is no longer a young girl, and the woman they call Captain Fellblade has surpassed even him in her mastery of runic magic.

Every day that passes, Zebajin can see the tides turning. It's the street urchins who scrawl “Vonak” on alley walls. It's the squared shoulders and thrust chins of the oppressed. It's the fire in their eyes when he hands them a weapon and shows them how to use it.

It's the knowledge that, no matter how hard they try, the legions of Chaos will never break the Splinterlands. And someday soon, the Riftwatchers will fulfill their destiny.
