White Chickadee
White chickadees are small, round-bodied birds with white plumage and dark eyes, common in the forests and woodlands of Praetoria's temperate regions. They spend their days searching bark crevices for insects and seeds, nesting in tree cavities and raising their young through spring and summer. They endure winter by caching seeds in hundreds of hiding spots throughout their territory.
Curious by nature, they flit from branch to branch overhead travelers who venture into their domain, their distinctive song echoing through the canopy. When threatened, they dart away in quick, erratic flight patterns that make them difficult to catch. Most predators learn to hunt easier prey.
