Among Captain Frankie's crew aboard the Saltwraith are several merfolk who've joined the Pieces of Eight for the same reason most join. Freedom, coin, and the thrill of the hunt. They care nothing for the Conclave's search. They only care that Captain Frankie pays them well.

When the Saltwraith escorts Conclave surveyors to shore, the merfolk patrol the waters with harpoons ready, watching every strike. When an enemy lands a devastating blow, when someone drops an ally with a single strike, a whistle cuts across the water. The merfolk points.
