Obsidian Dreadcore

The magic users of the Chaos Empire's Paragon bind obsidian dreadcores from shattered volcanic glass, fusing the shards with raw chaos magic until it pulses through every fracture. The result is a weapon that walks. Angular, relentless, and utterly without mercy.

The first one descended on a Conclave survey team in the foothills. No warning, no negotiation. Just crystalline edges and ruin.

It moved with mechanical precision, each step cracking stone beneath its weight. A mercenary tried to flank it. The dreadcore pivoted and drove its fist through the man's chest. The surveyors scattered. The dreadcore pursued, crushing armor and bone. A mage tried binding it with earth magic. The dreadcore caved in his skull with a backhand that sent fragments skittering across the rocks.

When the screaming stopped, the dreadcore stood among the bodies with chaos light pulsing through its crystalline frame. Then it turned and walked back to Tovingor, leaving the carnage behind.

The Chaos Empire isn't just defending its territory. It's coming for the Conclave Arcana.
