Lunaki Howler

Canicush is a republic nestled on the northern shore of Lake De’lai in the Central Fire’s Southern Highlands. Ringed by high walls and guarded gates, circular homes of timber and stone cluster around shared courtyards, their wide entries and domed roofs designed for communal life. Citizens gather in the Folcgemots, public assemblies where law, tradition, and pack loyalty guide every decision.

Canicush is home to many canisan races, but only lupi may vote in the General Folcgemot, serve in the Folcgemot Select, or rise to the role of alpha magistrate. In every facet of civic life—militias, trade councils, temples—canisans serve, but it is the lupi who lead. Sharp-eyed and territorial, they shape the republic’s future by instinct and by right. That leadership extends to the sacred as well, where lupine devotion guides worship and ceremony across the city.

Of Canicush’s churches and temples, those devoted to Lunaki, the Sister Moon Goddess, are among the most revered. Her lupine priests and priestesses lead rites beneath the moon, offer counsel in times of unrest, and are summoned when justice slips through the Folcgemots’ teeth. And when words no longer serve, they howl in grief, in joy, to call their goddess, and to remind Canicush the pack endures.
