Lemell Refugee

The Lemell refugee sat on a wooden chair, her arms wrapped around herself. Her stare was blank, but her mind burned with images of her ruined home and her family's broken bodies like discarded driftwood in the sand.

“Did you hear me? I asked if you can fight.”

The refugee blinked and looked around. An elven man crouched beside her. He was one of the Riftwatchers who had rescued her. He'd been asking her questions, but she hadn't heard them. She frowned.

His expression softened. “If you need to see the medics first, we can wait–”

”No.” Her voice was quiet, but her tone was strong. “I am alright. Yes, I can fight.” She lifted her hand, and it glowed with a gentle, blue light.

The man cocked an eyebrow and smiled. “You want to take this fight to the Chaos Legion.”

Her eyes narrowed. “Yes. Yes, I do.” Following the Chaos Legion's invasion, Lemell was a broken, desolate, and mana-less world. Of the few survivors, a great sadness filled them… and a greater anger. When the Riftwatchers arrived and promised an opportunity to strike back, many of these refugees answered the call. They combine their attunement with water mana with the art of runemancy to support their allies and seek vengeance against the Chaos Legion.
