Grimshield Hexpriest

A knight named Kerith Malen died three weeks ago when Palifala's time magic aged him to dust. The hexpriests of the Order of the Silver Shield documented his death, sealed his records, and buried his remains in the crypts beneath New Dawn's priory.

Then another report arrived. Kerith Malen, aged to dust yesterday.

The hexpriests opened the crypt. The body was still there, sealed and undisturbed.

Another report this morning. Kerith Malen, aged to dust. Again.

The body hasn't moved. But he keeps dying.

Palifala's time magic doesn't just break the land. It breaks death. The loyal dead die again and again, trapped in moments that refuse to end. The ulund sent messengers begging for help. Their wizards and sorcerers can't fix the temporal corruption. Only those trained in death's finality can sever the loops.

The hexpriests gathered their tools. Death-prayers carved into bone, wards etched in iron, hexes that restore the one truth time has broken. What dies stays dead.

They march north with the Silver Shield, carrying scrolls that list the names of those who've died more than once. Long scrolls.

In the Pristine Northwest, Kerith Malen ages to dust again. And again. And again.
