Fithe Bladestone
The great halls of the Kingdom of Grimbardun follow the veins of precious metals and minerals deep beneath the Northern Agniavas. The Chaos Empire coveted that wealth, but the mountain dwarves sealed their gates and fortified their defenses. When the legions attacked, the kingdom refused to fall. Rebellion swept across Praetoria, but Grimbardun remained isolated.
It wasn’t until a battle mage helped end Queen Mycelia and her brood that the high king agreed to join the fight. Grimbardun’s army marched, and its axes rang out in defense of Solace.
The kingdom’s gates are sealed again. Its army is bloodied and thin. It’s time to rebuild. But when the Riftwatchers arrive with news of the Conclave Arcana’s rising threat, the high king remembers his debts.
So does Fithe Bladestone.
He was one of the fighters under Dalthin Ironhood’s command who pushed back the mycelic tide rising from the Deep. And when the call came to march on Solace, Fithe strapped on his armor, hefted his axe and shield, and joined the dwarves as they made their way down the peaks of the Agniavas into the Northern Highlands.
During the siege, his axe felled a pair of Tennii Mayla’s chaos golems. As they crashed down, Fithe let out a war cry, and the Dragonsguard returned it, surging from the city and helping the dwarves rout the legionnaires.
But this time, against the Conclave Arcana, Grimbardun cannot spare an army. Only a handful of warriors who know what it means to face impossible odds and keep fighting. Fithe strapped on his armor, hefted his axe and shield, and led the small contingent down the peaks of the Agniavas into the Great Lowlands.
There, they find fire.
Oridum Graybrow’s magic scorches the land. Valleys boil. Forests crumble to ash. The air is thick with heat and smoke. The dwarves are outmatched. Outnumbered. But they do not yield.
Fithe remembers the battle mage. Remembers what happened the last time the end was near. And he knows that if they can just hold the line, the mage wagons will come.
