Fenmoor Haunt
Most shuffle off their mortal coil still burdened by unfulfilled promises, unrealized dreams, and unrequited vendettas. But a handful cling to these failings so vehemently that—whether it be through spell, song, blood, or prayer—they refuse to give up this world for the next. Instead, they become haunts—specters condemned to wander the realm in search of that which eluded them in life.
Since the arrival of the Dark Eternals, more and more haunts have been drawn to the Fenmoor Basin and its Bog of Wails. Perhaps they seek kinship with the revenants of the collective. Perhaps they seek aid in their quest for redemption. Or perhaps they seek deliverance from their eternal regret.
Whatever the reason, the haunts of Fenmoor Basin drift through the marshes and sloughs, envious of the living's potential to fulfill, realize, and requite. With envy comes anger. And with anger, malice—which they most certainly can fulfill.
