Chuma Marandu

A quay porter of Ulundin, Chuma Marandu hauled sacks of grain until his legs and back ached. He kept at it until they grew strong enough to haul around a sack on each shoulder all day. Then two on each shoulder. Then three.

Word got around. Other porters challenged him. Who could lift the most, jump the farthest, leap the highest.

Few could best Chuma.

One evening, while browsing goods in Ulundin's market, Chuma came across a traveling ulund merchant with a dead blue dragon whelp for sale. The merchant sold it to him, along with a recipe for mixing the scales with azurite and oil to create warpaint that wakes a touch of draconic power.

After that, no one could best Chuma.

Palifala Weslinath warps time and twists the land, raising cliffs and opening chasms where none stood before. Chuma simply leaps off or over them and drops upon the conclave's unsuspecting ranks with his claymore held high in both hands.

But strong legs and a strong back won't hold the line forever. Without reinforcements, the land will swallow Bella Ratajowski and her ulund, every last one of them.

Chuma knows it. So he adds another tribal swirl of blue to his ribs and finds a higher place to jump from.
