Agniavan Salamander

Agniavan salamanders are enormous, heat-adapted amphibians found only in the Crucible of Fire, a volcanic basin in the Central Agniavas. Reaching lengths of over three meters, these creatures have heat-shedding hides that shimmer like embers and can expel superheated vapor when threatened.

They are solitary by nature, often seen basking on scorched rocks or swimming through lava channels in search of minerals and prey. They avoid contact when possible. But a cornered salamander will rise onto its hind legs and charge, belching steam and fire in short, startling bursts. It’s a comical sight. Unless you’re the one being chased.
